Key Responsibilities
As a Senior System Administrator, your expertise will be vital in the management and oversight of our systems and infrastructure. Your primary duties will encompass:
- System Management: Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including regular assessments and suggestions for enhancement.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Recognize potential challenges and devise effective resolutions and improvements.
- Security Oversight: Formulate and enforce security policies while monitoring system access.
- Best Practices Contribution: Actively participate in defining and implementing best practices and quality processes for projects.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server 2019 and later.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
- Experience with Active Directory concepts, including domains, users, groups, and organizational units.
- Familiarity with Azure (IaaS), including VMs, Azure storage, VLANs, and VPN gateways is advantageous.
- Office 365 administration experience (users, distribution lists, and shared mailboxes) is preferred.
- Strong background in backup solutions and disaster recovery systems.
- Proficiency with hardware and datacenter components (Dell, HP, IBM servers).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog or similar).
- Strong configuration and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience in EMC SAN storage environments (e.g., EMC, VMAX, VNX) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and devices (TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work well under pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience: 3 years in VMware (preferred) and 1 year in Linux (preferred).
